Raid in France is open
Raid in France 2014 is started. The inaugural briefing teams and the opening ceremony were attented by teams entered, representing 8 nations, at the Hôtel du Département Haute-Loire based in Puy-en-Velay. Given a warm welcome by Michel Driot, vice-chairman of the Department in charge of tourism, and Laurent Wauquiez, the deputy mayor of Le Puy-en-Velay, the riders discovered the first information about the race. They were then encouraged by Grégory Coupet, the godfather of this edition and a native of the city of departure.
The program for tomorrow: the prologue, as a mini orienteering in the streets of Le Puy-en-Velay, for the first time opened to the public. Then direction, bike for RIF teams, Lake Bouchet for a bivouac before the official start, Sunday at 5:30.
