Amongst the 20 or so teams already inscribed for this second edition of Raid in France, several are international: Canadians from Vertleraid.ca, the british from Hey Lo and the Belgians from Coureurs Célestes (thank you to our Belgian friends for their sense of humour). The Italians from Pedrini-Iret are finalising their participation, as are several other teams from Sweden and Spain. Amongst the french teams there is Quechua, winners in 2007, Wadventure, Lafuma and some less wellknown teams who intend to defend their honour: Columbia Lozère Sport Nature, Energie Coté Sud, Arteka, Planète Tonique, Dauphiné Adventure, Vaucluse Aventures Evasion, Yogi Tea, Issy Aventure, Ville de Fréjus......
Wanted. Girls seeking... partner
Once upon a time there were 4 girls who decided to participate in the Raid in France 09: Myriam, Aurore, Anne and... Karina, the Brazilien member of the team who has unfortunately been injured whilst snow surfing. The team have found a replacement but need to find a partner in order to finalise their budget: myriam_muris@yahoo.fr
Guest Star. Franck Adisson, godfather of the 2009 Edition
Decidedly, Raid in France loves canoeing/kayaking. After Tony Estanguet in 2007, Franck Adisson has accepted to be the godfather of this edition in the southern alps and the med. Olympic champion in biplace canoeing in 1996 with Wilfrid Forgues and Bronze medalist in Barcelona, he also participated in the Raid Gauloises and has witnessed a true enthusiasm in supporting a race 100% french, 100% non-stop, 100% adventure and overall....100% nature.
