June 26: Haute Tarentaise Balconies and Mountaineering
Today, Sunday, June 26th, some tough sections of MTB and Trekking ahead of our teams.
Section B (MTB 1) : Haute Tarentaise balconies

– Start : AT1/Centron Leisure center
– Finish : AT2/Sainte-Foy Tarentaise, Pierre Giret CarPark (above Crot village)

After a direct climb up towards Notre Dame du Pré, the teams will follow a path on balcony to the village of Montalbert passing by La Plagne. They will then engage in a nice descent into the Rosuel valley before climbing up to Col de la Chal in the Les Arcs ski resort. To reach the villages of Villaroger and Sainte-Foy, the teams will enjoy a 30 km large and scenic descent.
Section C (Trek 1) : Around Mont-Blanc

– 4 535 m D+ / 4 720 m D-
– Start : AT2/Sainte-Foy Tarentaise, Pierre Giret CarPark (above Crot village)
– Finish : AT3/Beaufort (Refuge du plan de la Lai Carpark)

The most impressive section of this 2022 edition with a high mountain progression in the Alps and the ascent of the highest point af the track, Petite Aiguille des Glaciers at 3 465m above sea level.
Menu of the section : the teams will reach 8 passes and pass through several refuges: Ouie Blanche, Petit Saint Bernard, Forclaz, Ouillon, Seigne, Petite Aiguille des Glaciers, Robert Blanc refuge, Fours pass, Croix du Bonhomme refuge, La Sauce pass. At CP6, teams will arrive on a Via ferrata just above the exquisite Roselend lake, a treasure of the Northern Alps.
