Become a volunteer

Since its inception in 2007, Raid in France has relied on a staff and a team of around 100 volunteers. Without this exceptional and unique commitment of time, energy, and dedication, the race would simply not exist!

Our Raid in France family is brimming with talent

  • Course planning: countless long weekends spent finding the right path, the unforgettable view, and the passage that makes all the difference.
  • Administrative management, accounting, and secretariat: our indispensable behind-the-scenes worker bees.
  • Communication and information: pages of texts written, numerous video reports, photos, social media posts, and attention given to journalists.
  • Checkpoint management during the eace: monitoring and managing team progress through checkpoints, often requiring 2–3 nights in nature with minimal support.
  • Course marking and removal: a team of outdoor enthusiasts who ensure the trail is set up and cleared.
  • Setup of mountain, caving, and ropes activities: ensuring all technical sections are ready for the competitors.
  • Race Control Center (PC Course): the tech team monitors the race 24/7, tracking team progress and providing live updates to the race directors. This is the nerve center critical to the race’s success.
  • Race logistics: a fleet of about ten trucks navigating the routes to transport competitors’ equipment.
  • Competitor management: ensuring racers’ needs and issues are addressed throughout the event.
  • Volunteer coordination: supporting and organizing the volunteers’ tasks and needs.
  • Translation: translating all documents into English and providing live interpretation during the event.
  • Food Team: preparing meals for everyone during the race—an essential component of the event.
