Ardeche Department welcomes RIF 2017
In L’Ardèche, whether it is magnificent, wild, spectacular or secret, nature reigns in
majesty. Every outdoors activity that are offered by this life-sized sport field is draped with a green setting. In this French department, which holds the oldest painting gallery in the world, located in L’écrin naturel de la Combe d’Arc and which had remained roughly the same for more than 36 thousands years, natural spaces are part of the rich heritage. These spaces are not put under bell for they are –for most of them- open to the public. Not only does natural spaces allow to organize animations and to raise awareness regarding environmental issues, they can also host multiple sportive events for which the organizers make a commitment to respect the local fauna and flora and the fields where their events are taking place. Promoting a mastered development of outdoor sports is a clear objective of the department and, in order to reach it, the community has adopted a proactive policy whose motto is: practising, sharing and preserving to enjoy nature together and that so everyone keeps on being amazed by Ardèche.
